Most people carry a quiet, reasonable worry about AI. Not that a robot will rise up, but something closer to home: whether their work will still feel like their own, whether the judgment they spent a career building still counts for much, whether their kids will learn to think for themselves or just learn to ask a machine. The usual answer on offer is a race. Learn the tools faster. Automate before you are automated. Keep up or fall behind.

We think the race is the wrong way to see it, and we have built a company on a different answer.

The first principle we build to is that the human stays on the loop: the AI proposes, the person decides, and the person is never the part you try to remove. We build software for engineers, and we do not think this is only good engineering. We think it is how people and AI are meant to work, everywhere, not just in a data center. The engineer is not the slow part of the system. The engineer is the part that has to live with the consequences. So is everyone else who signs their name to their work.

If we believe that, we cannot only build it into something we sell. We have to give it away.

So we are starting academies.

They will not teach you to code. There are good places for that, and this is not one of them. These academies teach the thing the coding schools skip: how to live alongside AI without disappearing into it. How to question what it tells you. How to keep your own judgment when a confident machine offers to lend you its. How to keep your name on your own work. How to raise children who know that a smart helper still gets things wrong, and that catching the mistake is the brave, kind, intelligent thing to do.

For adults

Three essays. One is called We Will Be OK, because someone needs to say it and mean it. One is Your Name Stays On It, on the quiet responsibility of signing work an AI helped you make. One is Borrowed Judgment, on the difference between using a tool's judgment and surrendering your own.

For kids

There is Mosey and Wobble: a picture book about a little robot and a friendly blob, and a game called Where's the Wobble that teaches a child the most important thing anyone can learn about AI before they turn ten. Sometimes the helper is wrong. You are allowed to notice. You are supposed to notice.

Free, and not for sale

Here is the part that matters most. They are free, and they are not for sale. No signup that becomes a sales call. No lesson that ends in a product you have to buy. We are not teaching the world to live with AI so the world will buy our software. We are doing it because we think the world needs to learn this, and someone should make it, give it away, and mean it.

The future we are betting on is not the one the race imagines. It is not a world where people were replaced. It is a world where people stayed in the room, sharper and more themselves, with AI beside them and under their judgment. We are building the tools for that future. The academies are us building the rest of it, for everyone, for free.
